and husband to our Grade 1-2 teacher, Mrs. Barksdale,
will be our featured speaker.
Four of our eighth grade students will serve as our Color Guard.
Please invite veterans you know to attend this event with you.
Please prepare pictures of memorabilia you may have from veterans in your family.
We will use your pictures and memorabilia in a display honoring veterans in our church entry on November 8th

Calvary Lutheran invites you to a
Veterans Day observance honoring America's servicemen and women.
This year we welcome LTC Michael Walker as our guest speaker. LTC Walker served in the U.S. Army for 28 years.
He began his Army career in military intelligence,
then served as a physical therapist,
giving aid to soldiers and war prisoners alike.
Hear about his experiences and the lessons he learned while in service. Calvary's eighth grade students will serve as Color Guard during this observance.

Martin Luther College (MLC) - Professor of Theology
David Scharf was born in West Allis, WI to Rev. Ralph and Annette Scharf.
He is the 7th of 14 children and attended Good Shepherd’s Lutheran Church and School where his father served as pastor.
A graduate of Luther Prep (1996), Martin Luther College (2000), and Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary (2005),
Dave and his wife (Beth nee Koelpin) have six children ages 3-14 (Anastasia, Zoe, Isaiah, Dahlia, Evangeline, and Nika).
Upon graduation from the Seminary, Dave was assigned to serve as a parish pastor
at lmmanuel Lutheran Church and School in Greenville, Wl, and served there from 2005-2016.
Dave has had the privilege of serving as the Northern Wisconsin District Evangelism coordinator
and as the chairman of the Commission on Congregational Counseling.
Dave accepted the call to be a professor of theology and is thrilled to have the opportunity to help impact the next generation of called workers.
